It is realistic, that people would do that to survive. I like some of the brutal laws and the idea to create a theocracy or police state. The second scenario I played was the arche and it was even more easier, so I will go to hard level on the next scenario. If you understand this basic idea, the game is not very difficult, I saw the end of the main scenario in my first attempt. Gameplay is very similar to Banished, where you manage your labour to gather resources. Everyone would be happy to live and would not think about moral like "was it worth it?". The people are fighting for survival and the game is thinking about ethics and moral. There is only one thing I didnt like: the moral texts in the end are so ridiculous. The setting is great, so the only missed thing is a better introduction into the world: more background information for example. The draws are beautiful, but the story could have more movies or other elements to immerse you better into the world. I guess this is the best steampunk game ever. The artdesign, the graphics, sound are fitting together and create a great apocalyptic steampunk environment. The most of us agree, that the atmosphere is great. The main question of the game is fundamentally different than its predecessor: you’ve survived the apocalypse…what happens next? There will be more chaos before humanity settles down, that’s for sure. If the developers can build upon what they have achieved over the past three years, Frostpunk 2 might just outdo its predecessor. First released in 2018, Frostpunk received three major content expansions, The Rifts, The Last Autumn, and On The Edge, each growing in scope and scale.Įach of the DLCs was reasonably priced and added much to the flavor and complexity of the game. This is exciting news for fans of the original game. With a still-growing team of nearly 70 people, we have more manpower available to focus on all aspects of the game from the scale, the production value, and the quality of UX, but our ambition is to do more than a straight-up sequel.” “What we aim to deliver to players is an experience that goes vastly beyond that of the original Frostpunk.
